Some other notable highlights of this VCF 5.2.3 On VxRail 8.0.380 release include:

  • Upgrade support: You can directly upgrade from VCF versions 5.2, 5.2.1, 5.2.1.1, 5.2.1.2, 5.2.2 to VCF 5.2.3 on VxRail 8.0.380 using the SDDC Manager.
  • Security fixes: VxRail 8.0.380 contains fixes that resolve multiple security vulnerabilities. For more information, see DSA-2026-126: Security Update for VxRail for Multiple Third-Party Component Vulnerabilities.
  • No longer need to follow this KB for upgrades when upgrading to 5.2.3: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?legacyId=94747
  • Dell has transitioned to an OAuth‑based authentication mechanism. So, the SDDC Manager is unable to authenticate with Dell’s depot because the legacy authentication method is not compatible with the new OAuth-based system. As a result, VxRail bundles and the VXRAIL_COMPAT compatibility matrix (VxRail Version Set (VVS)) data cannot be downloaded. This prevents the SDDC Manager from validating VxRail compatibility or presenting supported upgrade options. For instructions to manually upload the required VVS and VxRail bundles, see VxRail Upgrade: Dell Depot Connection Issues.
